With reference to daily life.
This Board is for questions relating to the hundreds of choices we make each day. Reading about The "Quo Vadis?" Mandala in the last board will help to understand choices.

Self observation.
When fully awake or half awake observe what you are doing. Let the observing develop from there for just a few minutes [but more if you wish]. Let us know 1. what you observed and 2. who was observing whom or what.
If this does not make sense do let me know - please! |

Because life is a succession of choices this is an aid to the Board "With reference to daily life."
![]() Click on picture to view properly. THIS IS NOT MEANT AS A PARTICIPATORY BOARD. The "Quo Vadis?" Mandala. It is said that we should love our neighbour as we would love ourselves, and that we should not do to others what we would not like done to us. That these two standards of conduct are the main teachings of all major 'religions' is fact but, to us, it what others such as Jesus, the Buddha, Muhammad, Krishna, Baha'u'llah and numerous others said, and we take little or notice. This attitude conveniently distances us from responsibility in this regard and we can, therefore, go on our merry way. However, if we pay heed to what our conscience tells us so often; if we stop to listen when we hear it speak, we will realise that what it is telling us is precisely what is said in the paragraph above. In other words, we have it in us but we just do not want to hear. When Jesus was asked why he spoke in parables he said, " ..... because they listen but do not hear." Not hearing, or not wishing to hear, is so true of most of us and is due to our evolutionary state. When our individual time is right we will hear and resume, or quicken, our progress. In physics every action has a reaction and, similarly, every action has a reaction in what we think or do. Every moment of our waking life we think or act, the act being the result of thought or instinctive, in a way that affects us and others. We have, therefore, the capacity within us to live up to these fundamental precepts of life - a plurality that can be defined in the singular as Love but there is no one to steer our boat but ourselves. It is we who must choose. Some of us, due to our upbringing, personality, or simple lack of thought, are not aware of good or bad acts, but we can learn by noticing our own responses to the acts of others and their effect on us or others. We all have a conscience, be it a small suppressed one, a large one in a thoughtful mind or one somewhere in between; and we all have the capacity to free ourselves from the fetters that bind us and prevent us from being better people. Read Onâ–¼ This mandala symbolises:
It is, therefore, a reminder to us that it is we, and only we, who steer our course. Unused it is worthless; used, it is worth the extent of its use. from The Milk Is White. |

Regarding donations to help keep the book and Ian on-line.
Dear Friends,
I have been able to remain on the Internet with my book due to the generosity of my brother who has paid for my ISP costs for the last two years. Because this cannot continue after January next I have put a donation button at the bottom of the home page of The Milk Is White [ http://www.themilkiswhite.com/ ] I have recently changed from eating organic food so as to recoup recent large dental and optical expenses and can continue to do this but will still be in the position of being at times unable to pay my ISP cost plus those other costs that inevitably occur. To put things in perspective I refer you to the NB in my blog Amazing! I am looking for small donations that will add up to about AU$ 60/month or, progressively, AU$ 960/year and propose to advise donors periodically, via this blog or some other means, of the state of the Donations Account, and request a temporary halt to donations when that is necessary. Hence, anyone wishing to monitor the account need only search for "Donations" in my blog. The Donation Button reads PayPal but the donation page accessed via this button offers other options. () PS. Since this entry is based on unknown factors I may alter the modus operandi as events unfold! |

Seek and you shall find.
Many of us ask “Why?” so often about so many things. I have started this pod so that people can ask “Why?” about life in a spiritual context and get many opinions from others. They can also ask “How?” and “What?” etc.
