The “medical model” – diagnosis and treatment planning – categorizing human behavior – delving into the past, into childhood – therapist as arcaeologist –these and many other approaches to psychotherapy do not seem to fit me anymore. As a therapist I do not see my role as one of “expert” who is going to help my client fix the problem.
