Rebounding – bouncing up and down on a so-called “mini-trampoline” – is my hobby, my passion, and even my integral practice.
Rebounding works on many levels … See http://www.chibounding.com if you are interested, or better yet, take a free download of my unpublished book on rebounding at http://www.enlightenment.com/rebound/allontherebound1.1.pdf.
For those of you of a scientific bent, you'll find all the science ever done on rebounding (or at least all that I have found to date) collected in two chapters, plus there are many ideas for moving forward with your own integral rebounding practice.
Rebounding is fun, easy, highly effective, safe, and adaptable to just about any kind of psycho-spiritual practice (e.g., meditation, breath work, visualization, etc.) And if you listen to good music while you do it, it is easy to do it day after day after day. Since the springs or strings (there are two different types of rebounders) take up to 90% of your weight, you don't get the kind of repetitive joint injury that running often brings.
More importantly, ChiBounding is its own form of integral practice. It is still so new and unexplored that many of you with bodywork, healing, and athletic experience and initiative will be able to invent new forms of ChiBounding exercises and practices.
As I approach year five of daily rebounding, my goal is to have 25 million Americans bouncing daily by 2012. It's wicked fun, it's safe and easy, it's really good for you, and it's really easy to adapt it to other forms of meditation, visualization, breathwork, and so on.
If you're interested, download my book, or get a high quality rebounder and “make it happen.” (Toy rebounders that sell for less than $100 just aren't worth it.)
Good luck, and feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
